Low-power Hand-held Devices
e-con Systems Design team, comprising Hardware and Software teams is well equipped with both the skills and strategies to design and develop Low-power Hand-held devices. We at e-con believe that, Optimization and Power Management starts at the very first day of the project, identifying the Hardware modules and its Software Power Management. Component-Engineering phase ensures that the components are PM-aware and the Software team is readily equipped with Power Management routines of all major components. Such a Hardware-Software integrated approach yields effective results in Power Management of hand-held devices. With battery-operated devices being the future of the next-generation Personal Digital Devices, e-con Systems is well-equipped to design such stringent-requirements-devices, utilizing its expertise in Power Management.

Windows Mobile based Pocket PC phones
In the modern day trend, there is no simple Mobile phone. Most of the mobile phones have support for camera, FM, Bluetooth and GPRS/EDGE. Slowly and steadily mobile phones are adding more and more features and will reach the saturation point like the UMPC. The high end mobile phones will have the ability to play MP3 files and Video files, access to Cellular internet, connectivity through Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/IRDA and internet browser. Being Microsoft's Gold partner in Windows Embedded, e-con Systems has developed excellent expertise in developing Windows Mobile based Pocket PC phones for customers. e-con in the past has developed hardware devices for OEMs and ported Windows Mobile BSP on top of it with all the functionalities as mentioned above.

Terminals Design
e-con Systems has developed and designed terminals for usage in different industry verticals i.e. retail Billing, Entertainment, commercial transactions. e-con Systems in the past has designed terminals that have the peripherals like Contactless smart card reader, Magnetic card reader, thermal printer, bar code reader, Wi-Fi, GPRS, SAM, finger print sensor, keypad, touch screen, LCD display in a single terminal and are being used in different application viz

Digital picture frames
Almost every work desk today has a photo frame having a static photo of one's loved ones. With the advent of Digital frames, where the picture displayed can run like a slideshow and ability to pick up photos from a photo sharing site or through an email from someone, the picture frame market has grown by leaps and bounds. e-con has in the past designed hardware for digital picture frames for OEMs that has the ability to pick up photos from photo sharing sites and can also stream Video from a local server through Wi-Fi so that it can also be used a digital signage device. In addition to this e-con has developed capabilities where by a person sitting in the office would have the ability to do Video surveillance through the picture frame at his home.

Set Top Boxes
In a consumer electronics segment, Creativity and Time-To-Market are the Driving Factors. e-con Systems with its expertise, is poised to take up such challenges especially in the Internet Appliances/Set Top Box designs. Having successfully completed a Internet Access Device for Home Applications, with all the features of a PC and TV together, e-con Systems has proven its capability in developing such IAD/STB on any Processor/Graphics chip family with either Windows CE or Linux with QT/QTOPIA. The team at e-con Systems has expertise in designing and developing TV/Graphics circuitry with TV/FM tuners, PAL/NTSC Decoders/Encoders, Audio circuitry etc, along with the relevant System and Application software for the same.
