e-con Systems’ newly launched e-CAM56_CUOAGX is a 5MP high-resolution global shutter camera featuring the Pregius S IMX568 sensor engineered to obtain sharp high-quality images of objects in motion at a high frame rate. This camera supports multi-camera synchronization, with up to four cameras, while retaining a frame rate of up to 280 fps. The multi-ROI feature, which enables the capture of only multiple regions of interest, makes it ideal for smart traffic, industrial, and robotic applications.
It yields high-quality image output even in low-light conditions due to its high sensitivity. These advanced features make e-CAM56_CUOAGX a high-performing camera for embedded vision applications. With decades of experience in ISP fine tuning, e-con has excelled in fine tuning the NVIDIA host ISP, ensuring exceptional image quality. The supported interfaces are MIPI and GMSL.

- Multi-ROI Capture
The camera features multi-ROI feature, that allows to capture data from only specific areas (ROIs), rather than capturing the entire image. The multi-ROI feature provides an increased frame rate, as the camera needs to process and transmit only data from the chosen ROIs. This can be used for embedded vision applications that require high frame rates for specific parts of the scene, such as traffic monitoring, where the focus should be on capturing vehicle movements, or facial recognition systems, where only the subject’s face should be zoomed.e-CAM56_CUOAGX can achieve up to 1164 fps with the multi-ROI feature.
- Global Shutter Functionality
The camera features the IMX568 sensor of SONY’s Pregius S family, renowned for its global shutter functionality and its efficiency.
