What is a C-Mount Lens?

The C-Mount standard is one of the most popular lens mount styles - popularly used for microscopes. The C-mount adaptor has a standard thread size of 25.5 mm, 32 threads per inch, and a 17.52 mm flange focal distance. Larger sensors (>22 mm) can't be used with the C-Mount connector due to its relatively small diameter.
