4. Can I have a different lens option?

The lenses are chosen after considering various parameters and standards including the IP69K rating. Please contact camerasolutions@e-consystems.com with your customization requirements.

5. I need a different lens to cover a wider FOV (field of view). How can I do it?

The camera features an M12 lens holder, allowing you to use any standard S-mount lens (M12 x 0.5) with the default lens holder. For lens suggestions, please write to camerasolutions@e-consystems.com.

Super-exposure pixel technology enhances image quality by capturing more light and taking multiple images at different gain settings in the same exposure. These images—typically bright, medium, and low—are combined to create a high dynamic range (HDR) image, ensuring detail retention in both bright and dark areas. This reduces overexposure and shadow loss, offering superior clarity. By using the overflow multi-exposure, which adds an overflow area to each pixel, the technology improves low-light sensitivity and signal accuracy, expanding the dynamic range while maintaining color fidelity and detail even in challenging lighting conditions.

11. What does the camera's streaming resilience feature mean?

The Stream Health Monitor and Recovery system ensures continuous video streaming by detecting stream interruptions and automatically recovering, enhancing reliability in critical applications.

12. What interface does the camera use to connect?

The STURDeCAM34 uses a GMSL2 interface, which supports long-distance video transmission over 15m coaxial cables with FAKRA connectors.

13. Is this camera available with other interfaces?

14. What is hot-plugging, and how is it beneficial for STURDeCAM34?

Hot plugging allows the user to connect or disconnect STURDeCAM34 camera while the host system is running without the need for switching off/ rebooting the system. This is particularly useful in applications where it minimizes downtime, enables quick replacements or upgrades, and ensures continuous operation without system interruptions.

15. How can I evaluate this camera?

STURDeCAM34 can be evaluated using NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin. Multi-camera options are available in the Webstore based on your requirements. 16. What other platforms, like Qualcomm, NXP, Ambarella, or carrier boards, can this camera be connected to?

The camera is compatible with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin by default. We have readily available hardware support for all other boards and can provide the complete setup upon request.

17. Does this camera come with an ISP?

Yes, the camera has an onboard high-performance ISP that handles HDR processing and image enhancement tasks.

18. How many cameras can be synchronized for multi-camera support?

STURDeCAM34 supports synchronization of up to 8 cameras in a single Nvidia Jetson AGX Orin system, making it ideal for multi-camera applications like surround-view systems.

19. Does the STURDeCAM34 camera support OpenCV?

The STURDeCAM34 camera works using V4L2 (Video for Linux 2) APIs and is V4L2-compliant. Since OpenCV has support for V4L2, you can use OpenCV to access and work with this camera in V4L2-based applications. 20. What Jetpack version does this camera support?

21. How can I get the updated software package?

23. Is the product manufactured with the active alignment technique?

Hot-plug

25. How do I enable or use the hot-plug feature on STURDeCAM34?
